Slowly but surely!

Well the whole process is taking longer that I had hoped.  To many distractions between family and the outdoors!  I’d never change any of it!  It’s always good to surround your self with good family and those that support what your doing!

I hope next week to be renting  machinery to dig the holes for my poles and help put them in their new homes!  I’ll have a few more steps to go before I’m ready to plant but he Hops yard is moving along well!!

We are about to starting to build the Trelles.  All the Hops poles are staged and ready to put in the ground.  There are a few last minutes items to do to the poles which should happen in the next few days.  And then the hard part starts!  I will be sinking the poles four feet down and starting to run the cable!  I’m hoping to be able to show a lot more progress in the next few weeks!  We will be excited when this part is done!

Time to get back to the Hops yard!

Took the last week off to fish a couple of bass tournaments with a good friend!  Last weekend we fished leech lake, but didn’t do as well as we wanted.  Just unable to find the big ones.  Lots of 3 lbers but nothing larger.

Today was the tournament on woman lake.  The day started out very well as we caught the big fish of the tourney on our first stop.  6.29 lbs small mouth bass.  Unfortunitly, we were unable to locate any other big fish to go with it. We ended up with 22.89 lbs and finished 2 pounds out of the money.  We have now had big fish honors 2 years in a row!

Its now time to get down to business and finish up the Hops yard!!!  IMG_1755
